Why would you want to block a Youtube channel
This might depend on many reasons, but the most common one is to protect your children from being able to see inappropriate content. Even if Youtube has a strict policy regarding what is uploaded on their platform, there are still videos up there that might be offensive for kids. Another possible reason is that you are just annoyed by someone’s posts and you just don’t want to see them anymore.
How to block a Youtube channel
A Youtube channel can be blocked using an extension called “Video Blocker“. It works with most of the browsers currently available on the market. In this tutorial, we are going to use the Google Chrome browser. To install it follow this link.
Once you are on the Chrome Web Store click on “+ Add to Chrome” button. Confirm the installation by clicking on “Add Extension”. In a couple of seconds, it should be installed.
To block a Youtube channel visit Youtube page and chose the channel you want to block. Right click on its name and choose “Block videos from this channel” option. And that’s it. You will not be able to see videos from that channel anymore in your playlists, suggestions or searches.
How to unblock a Youtube channel
If you changed your mind regarding a channel that you already blocked, you can easily remove it from the blocked list. Go in the upper right side of your browser, click on the Video Blocker icon and press the “X” button next to the channel’s name.
