Is Facebook one of the most used communication channels to get in touch with your customers? Then you probably noticed that on some Facebook pages you receive a reply almost instantly. Usually is something like “Thank you for your message, we will try to get back to you as soon as possible”. If you wonder how you can set this kind of messages for your own page read the following simple steps. I will show you how to enable Facebook automatic reply messages.
What you need to set Facebook automatic reply messages
First of all, this option is available only for Facebook pages, not Facebook profiles. In other words, you cannot set this kind of messages for your private profile. You can do it only for Facebook pages. You also have to have Admin rights on the page for which you want to set the replies.
How to enable Facebook automatic reply messages
Login on the page for which you want the messages to be enabled and access the Settings menu. Choose the Messaging tab and have a look on the downside of the page. You will notice the below three options. Enable them as you see fit, by clicking on each switch button.
1. The first option allows you to set a reply message for everyone who sends a message to your Page. There is a standard text message but you can modify it once the option has been enabled by clicking the Change button.
2. With the second option, you can set messages to be displayed while you are away from your Facebook page. For this to work, besides activating it you also have to enable the Away mode. You can do this on your Page home page, Messages and click on the Away switch on the bottom of the screen.
3. The third option will work only once per visitor. It allows you to set a greeting message the very first time when a visitor opens a chat window with you. If he previously started a conversation with you before you activated this feature he will not receive the message.
For all 3 cases, once you click on Change button you will be able to previsualize how the message will look like for your visitor. You can also customize the message by clicking on the Add Personalization button. Customizing like inserting the First name, the Last name, Full name or your website URL address in the reply message.
