House of Cards is one of Netflix’s most important original series. It’s running since 2013 and now it’s in his fifth season (premiere takes place on May 30). Luckily for you, we have the latest trailer released. Check it at the end of this article.
The unexpected success
It’s been two seasons. When David Fincher and Kevin Spacey approached Netflix with the prospect of a political drama in an episodic format, the whole story should have been said in 20 episodes. Taking in consideration that it was one of the first Netflix original productions, but also thanks to the very good quality of the script, it should not come as a surprise that we are approaching with a fast pace of the fifth season premiere.
At the end of this month, we will have the entire 5th season of House of Cards. As mentioned before, the premiere will take place on May 30. In the spirit of Netflix, all episodes will be available in one day. It is all up to you if you watch them on the spot, or you’ll make an overwhelming effort to see one episode per week (yeah right!).
What is yet to come
The House of Cards season 4 premiere took place last March and illustrated a break of the relationship between the 2 main characters. The plot of the new season shows Frank Underwood trying again to win the US presidency, competing against Will Conway. Kevin Spacey is expected to perform his magic and inspire once again, fear and excitement in the viewer’s soul. Just watch season 5 trailer and listen to Underwood’s voice. You will understand why this is such a successful TV show. If you are careful enough, you should get from the video below some hints about the plot of the new season. In just a few words, the visual style and the very well-written dialogues will be maintained. In the end, these are the ingredients that brought this show where it is today.
What do you think will happen next? Will Frank Underwood manage to secure his position for another 4 years as the president of United States? Or we’re in for some other surprises? Let us know your opinion in a comment. Thanks!
