I a previous article we presented you several business tools offered by Google. They are Google’s way to help you increase your profits and boost your business. Now Google turned their attention also to the artistic part of our life, drawing. We are all familiar with the Windows drawing program, Paint. Well, Google took Paint to a whole new level. Seems like AutoDraw, cause this is the one we were talking about, turns any guy into a talented painter. Let’s see how.
What is and what does AutoDraw
AutoDraw is a website developed by Google in partnership with several designers and Creative Studios. It is meant to improve your drawing experience. To be more precise it takes the shape you draw and pairs it with a preset picture from the tool’s database. These preset images are created by talented designers and will make your drawing skills look like the ones of a true painter. You can create birthday cards, event flyers or posters, and much more, all with just a few clicks. Watch the below video to see AutoDraw at work.
How AutoDraw works
The technology behind AutoDraw is top notch. It is the same technology used for creating virtual reality and other products that seemed SF material a few years back. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are the core structures on which this web-based tool was developed. As a result, the program tries to learn different patterns and associate them with existing figures.
Tip: send your own drawings to be included in the preset ones here.
Conclusion
AutoDraw is a free web-based tool. It works on your phone, your computer, your old laptop, your new laptop, your dusty desktop or your fancy tablet. Even if for the moment it seems like a pretty basic drawing tool the odds of becoming a really powerful photo editor are high.
What do you think about AutoDraw? Is it cool, is it helpful? Will it become a real player in the photo editing market due to the machine learning capabilities or it will remain just a fun project? Let us know your thought in the comment section. Thanks!
